Description
Optimus Prime was another toy that migrated from Diaclone. It was originally named “Battle Convoy”. There are more Optimus Prime toys than any other transformer. Though the number of Optimus Prime toys is not clear, the character has been produced since 1984 in the G1 set of toys. Having a recurring toy/character helped Transformers to grow in popularity because it gave Transformers a face of sorts.
