The Nintendo DS was a dual-screen, handheld gaming device created in 2003. This device would allow users to play both ROM cartridge and flash cartridge games. The bottom screen was a touchscreen that users could touch with their fingers or the included screen-safe pen. The DS also had a microphone in between the two screens, an arrow pad, and various other buttons on the base of the device.
